Does it mark the floor?
We cannot say it will never mark the floor, but we can tell you that we have used the Traksporter for ten years on a range of floor surfaces, including painted, epoxy, and linoleum tile. The only time we see an issue is when we go across a very old deteriorated floor or broomed surface, in these cases the tracks will leave a white mark that will go away if you sweep it up. It does not gouge the floor or leave marks
Can it do inclines?
The crawler has a great amount of pulling power but we rely on gravity for traction and grip between the turntable and bottom surface of the machine being moved. For this reason we do not advertise that it can do any kind of incline.
How rough of a floor can it go over?
The Traksporter is designed to stay on a flat solid surface. The amount of floor difference the crawler can go over is dependent upon the amount of weight it is carrying. Under 40,000 lb load 1/4'' floor difference is acceptable, over 40,000 lbs no more than 1/8'' floor difference is the max. The use of 1/8'' masonite board is very helpful in crawling up greater floor differences by stepping up an 1/8'' at a time.
How much weight can it move?
The crawler can support a max of 60,000 lbs., and its pushing or pulling capacity is in excess of 200,000 lbs.
What maintenance is required?
This machine is a low maintenance product. It uses common engine oil, oil filter and air filter. The hydraulic oil should be sampled and tested periodically changed as indicated by the testing agency. The hydraulic oil filter has a flow restriction gauge to indicate when it needs to be changed. The crawler tracks need to be blown out and re-oiled periodically. The cleaner the floor is kept in the path of the crawler, the less cleaning will be required. The tracks need to be lubricated with a light oil after cleaning. The turntable bearing needs to be cleaned periodically, and changed as needed.
How long will it run on a tank of propane?
Approximately six to eight hours.
How long will the battery in the remote last?
Aprox. six to eight hours and can be recharged in one hour.
How long does it take to get repair parts?
We have an entire machine unassembled on the shelf for spare parts if required.
